CODOO STUDIO transforms an 80s space into a fresh pasta workshop where yellow becomes an essential ingredient.

At Marqués de la Valdavia 7, steps away from Atocha, an old office from the 70s-80s is reborn as an artisanal pasta workshop.  What was once a place of routines and desktops is now infused with flour, light, and craftsmanship. CODOO STUDIO signs a transformation that goes from the hum of the fluorescent light to the warm glow of terrazzo and wood. From gray to yellow.
The project draws inspiration from the Argentine neighborhood pasta factories, a living heritage of Italian immigration. Those family workshops where kneading and conversing took place, where manual labor and daily life mingled. The Madrid workshop rescues that artisan spirit and translates it into a current architectural language: an open showcase, honest surfaces, and an atmosphere that celebrates the craftsmanship.
Here, every element—the work table, the counter, the shelves—is thought of as part of the same story. The original lamps coexist with the brand’s yellow identity, a symbol of energy and vitality. The result is a space that does not seek to reproduce the past, but to activate it from the present, like a scene between Mad Men and an Ettore Scola film: design, memory, and craft sharing the same shot.

A workshop that returns the pulse of craftsmanship to the center of Madrid.
